Phu-Talay Seafood Restaurant, Finest Seafood, Ocean-Side Dining

Phu-Talay Seafood Restaurant

Phu-Talay Seafood Restaurant

As far as seafood dining goes, it probably doesn’t get much better than this, as a combination of some of the finest seafood and a true ocean-side location, make for some very memorable times in Thailand’s Koh Chang, no matter how hard you may be to please.

A travel to the Phu-Talay Restaurant may have you feeling like you’re in a scene of one of those travel documentaries, lending an air of remoteness with the dirt track that you’ll have to navigate through, on your way to the sea-side location of Phu-Talay.

This is where the wonders of nature are at the peak of their powers, with an ideal, unique location that is strategically placed right on the delta, where the Klong Prao River pours into the sea.

It is almost a full on guarantee that you will simply have to come back to this restaurant, if you are staying in this region of Thailand for an extended period of time, as the combination between great food and great views, is rivaled by no other.

With regards to the food itself, stereotypes are ripped into two clean pieces, as one might expect there to be some leeway for a compromise in the food, to be made up for by the sheer majesty of the soul healing views, but no – the food is of some of the highest quality you can come to expect, rivaling that of all premier restaurants in the entire region. The somewhat uncomfortable trip there is well worth every effort and well worth every cent.

Dining cannot be praised enough as even the simplest of dishes are special beyond any culinary elite. You would be forgiven for thinking something as basic as stir-fried crab can only have certain taste, but no – your taste buds are in for a real Thai treat. Never mind the overcooking of some foods (which you can make special request to counter) as the dining experience is somewhat of an education for your taste buds.

Klong Son beach (or Had Klong Son) is located on the north of Koh Chang. Nice bay at the very top of the island. Pure white sand stretch of beach, shaded with coconut trees. Situated on the somewhat less glamorous, northern side of the Koh Chang Island, Klong Prao isn’t all that much of tourist destination, especially for those who are in need of a true holiday experience of the exotic kind.

Lonely Beach is good for:

Also known as Kai Bae Beach, this is the spot to catch a great sunset! A few small shops and food stalls are along the beach, a good spot to chill out away from the crowds at White Sands Beach.

Bangbao Bay is good for:

fishing

seafood restaurants

nightlife

Short description:

A well-sheltered bay with a small and quiet beach. It is a fishing community where residents still live in houses built on stilts and are connected by wooden bridges. There are a growing number of tourist shops, scuba dive outlets and seafood restaurants offering a good selection of seafood.

Salak Khok Bay is good for:

pretty, unspoiled area

quiet and peaceful

Short description:

There aren’t so much attraction in Salak Kok, but tourists can Kayak among the mangroves. Salak Kok Bay still has a fishing community that doesn’t change so much in many years, a great place to see the real traditional Thai community.
