If you are not just satiated with the stays in the hotels and resorts and the games and sunbaths on the beaches in Thailand, then Koh Pli is just the right thing for you to spend a day around. Since, the tropical paradise holds enough and more nooks and crannies in its vast expanse of water bodies for you to explore, the small islands en route the large ones are surely an attraction. Koh Pli is one such island which, though it does not have much to offer, provides a vivid visual experience for you. It is, of course, one sure stop that you must come around on the way to Koh Yuak.
One important thing that you must note here is that this island does not have a sprawling beach to boast of, unlike the other islands. Out of the six islands that are located near Koh Chang’s western shore, the Koh Pli is often seen as a secluded feature as it does not have the most needed beach. Though the circumference poses the semblance of a beach from afar, you should always be ready to give it a swim to the island, if you are really interested in exploring the island itself, rather than watch the scenery. What seems to be the beach is only coral that is dead and broken.
The most exquisite attraction that you find on your trip around this island is the surety of getting a good look at the massive sea eagles. This is something that you will not usually find on the other islands. These huge eagles with their white necks and spread out black wings are indeed a sight to catch. Though there is no beach on Koh Pli, you might at times find a few fishermen going about their business near the island. The splendor of this island forms just a prelude to the bigger attractions on the onward voyage.
