The Fusion of Fun and Adventure at Koh Lao Ya

Koh Lao Ya is an island located just out of Salakphet Bay at the southern portion of Koh Chang Island. The islands of Koh Lao Ya and Koh Lao Klang are mistakenly identified as one island because they are connected by a wooden footbridge. In reality they are distinct and different two islands. The connecting wooden footbridge existed because these two islands are privately owned. The island of Koh Lao Ya is bigger than Koh Kao Klang Island. It is home to Lao Ya Resort.

Koh Lao Ya Island is famous of its white sandy beaches with long beach frontlines stretching from the pier in the northeast part of the island to its southeastern tip. The natural setting gives tourists a beautiful venue to relax while enjoying sunbathing or simply taking comfort while laying your back on the couch facing the crystal clear water of the surrounding the entire island. Koh Lao Ya offers excellent venue for fun and refreshing swimming experience. Its shallow pristine waters are just perfect for a family vacation where children can enjoy some dips and dives to their heart’s content and satisfaction. Enjoying the long stretched white beach by kayak is also a worth taking to make. Its green and unspoiled environment with a considerable numbers of tropical trees like coconuts makes imprints to the soul.

The atmosphere of Koh Lao Ya is totally cool and invigorating.  Just a few meters off the island’s coastline, you do snorkeling and have an underwater encounter of diverse marine living creatures. Its seabed is bedecked with natural wonders of different fishes of varying colors, stripes and sizes. They are relatively tamed and fun to play with. Feeding them offers some close up encounters which are worth keeping through the lens of your underwater camera. Visiting Koh Lao Ya is like a romancing nature at its purest.
