Koh Mai Si Lek Island for Snorkeling

Koh Mai Si Lek is an island located towards the west of the Koh Khood Island. Koh khood is the seventh largest island of the Gulf of Thailand in the Trat province. The island is also named as Goh Maizee Lek. The longitude and latitude coordinates of the island are 102.5 and 11.95. It is also located in marine national park Koh Chang.


Koh Mai Si Lek is a small island. Like the other island of Koh Chang this is also a very beautiful island blessed with natural resources. From the tourism point of view it is paradise for tourists. The island is not densely populated so it serves as peaceful destination for the people looking to spend their holidays calmly. The places near Koh Mai Si Lek islands are Ao Khok that is 1100 meters to its west, ko Falami Tai half kilometers towards its east, Ko Mo Nai 1200 meters to its north, Ao Luk Uan half kilometer to its south west and Ko Falamai Nuea 2km to its north east. One excellent matter is that there is an airport on this island. Besides, the island is rich in natural resources on one hand and at the same time people of the island are also very friendly.


The main attraction for tourists is the white sandy beaches and high mountains of the island. The island is blessed with rich fertile and evergreen rainforests. The fun activities on the island are fishing, snorkeling kayaking and walking through the jungle. There is abundant of marine and wild life on the island. The island has also a great and wonderful nightlife.  There are large collections of resorts on the island. These resorts serve very delicious Thai as well as western foods and drinks. Watching movie every night is a great fun for tourists. As the Koh Mai Si Lek island is not heavily populated so it remains quite and calm even in busy seasons.

Klong Son beach (or Had Klong Son) is located on the north of Koh Chang. Nice bay at the very top of the island. Pure white sand stretch of beach, shaded with coconut trees. Klong Son gets very low numbers of visitors with the bulk of the backpackers and tourists alike speeding south enroute to Koh Chang's finer and more popular stretches of sand.

Also known as Kai Bae Beach, this is the spot to catch a great sunset! A few small shops and food stalls are along the beach, a good spot to chill out away from the crowds at White Sands Beach.

There aren’t so much attraction in Salak Kok, but tourists can Kayak among the mangroves. Salak Kok Bay still has a fishing community that doesn’t change so much in many years, a great place to see the real traditional Thai community.
