Koh Lim – Beautiful Island to Enjoy

Koh Lim is a beautiful island located at the eastern part of Thailand. It is one of the islands that includes  in the national marine park of Koh Chang. There are some other islands located near Koh Lim.


The nearest place to koh lim is Ko Salak that is 500 meters at its northwest another place is Ao Tha Am that is 3 km away towards southwest; Ao Salak is 3 km at its southwest.  The island is full of natural beauty and rich in forests. It consists of high mountains with fertile ever green forests at its peaks and beautiful waterfalls. The island is blessed with wide collection of marine life. There are long chains of palm trees on the island. There are also stone cliffs in this island. The island is a heaven for tourists. It also contains a spa named as Kooncharaburi Resort Spa and a sailing club. Both these places are 4 km at its west. The best attraction for tourist in this island is its clear water.


The island is the finest place for fishing. The island provides fun activities to tourists such as kayaking and mountain trekking. You can reach the island by speedy boats that leave from koh Chang. The weather conditions in the island are similar to that in Bangkok.  The best time to visit the island is from November to February because weather is cool during this period. Between March and May it rains heavily at the island and from June to October its roasting hot so not a good time to spend holidays. There are variety of hotels and resorts in the island for accommodation. The major attraction of Koh Lim is the large boulders that are at the southern tip of the island.

Short description:

Klong Son beach (or Had Klong Son) is located on the north of Koh Chang. Nice bay at the very top of the island. Pure white sand stretch of beach, shaded with coconut trees. Klong Son gets very low numbers of visitors with the bulk of the backpackers and tourists alike speeding south enroute to Koh Chang's finer and more popular stretches of sand.

Short description:

Koh Chang's most famous stretch of sand, at over 2km long there's certainly room for everyone! Lined with bungalows, food stalls and shops this is one of the best beaches in all of Thailand.

Short description:

Situated on the somewhat less glamorous, northern side of the Koh Chang Island, Klong Prao isn’t all that much of tourist destination, especially for those who are in need of a true holiday experience of the exotic kind.

Short description:

Also known as Kai Bae Beach, this is the spot to catch a great sunset! A few small shops and food stalls are along the beach, a good spot to chill out away from the crowds at White Sands Beach.

Short description:

A well-sheltered bay with a small and quiet beach. It is a fishing community where residents still live in houses built on stilts and are connected by wooden bridges. There are a growing number of tourist shops, scuba dive outlets and seafood restaurants offering a good selection of seafood.

Short description:

There aren’t so much attraction in Salak Kok, but tourists can Kayak among the mangroves. Salak Kok Bay still has a fishing community that doesn’t change so much in many years, a great place to see the real traditional Thai community.
