The island of Koh Lao Nok belongs to the group of Lao Islands. it is situated at the southern part of the co-joined Koh Lao Nai and Koh Lao Klang islands. Koh Lao Nok is uninhabited island and a land mass of mostly rocks foundation. Its top surface is green vegetation of small trees, wild bushes and other plants endemic to its natural environment. From the nearby Koh Klang island, it can be reached by boat or by paddling a kayak because the distance does not exceed a kilometer.
Koh Lao Nok Island has a couple white sandy beaches to pride in. Though their shorelines are relatively short, the beaches are excellent avenue for private activities like sunbathing, relaxation or even meditation because of the island’s peaceful and quiet surroundings. The beachfront’s eastern location offers vantage point for sightseeing and watching sunrises. Its shallow and sparkling clear waters are good for swimming, fun diving and snorkeling. Koh Lao Nok’s underwater is amazingly beautiful with coral settlement and various species of fish which appear to be so tamed.
Kayaking is also an exciting outdoor activity to consider especially if you are still honing the skill of doing it properly. For added adventures, mountain trekking or climbing through green forests can be done with the permission from the authority. A group’s night camp out with the necessary equipments is also a better way to experience Koh Lao Nok’s night life under the moonlight sky glittered by stars and lights from nearby and far distant islands of Koh Chang. Tourists should always bear in mind that being in the protected island garbage of any kind must not be left behind. Environment-friendly travelers keep a litter bag for whatever trash they have to dispose of. Excitement, fun, adventure and relaxation are totally meaningful when nature is given due value and respect.
