Great Fun and Adventure at Koh Mapring (5)

The island of Koh Mapring (5) is the third small island around Koh Rang and the fifth one bearing “Koh Mapring” name. it is considered a good spot for snorkeling. It can be reached conveniently by private boat. Being part of Koh Chang Marine National Park, Koh Mapring (5) is bedecked with green vegetation and its coastline is made sturdy by rocky foundation. The water around it is clear and blue.

Koh Mapring (5) island has no physical attributes to be proud of. It is a natural place of wild plants and trees. It has no white sand beach or alluring portion on its surface. The total land mass is hard rock. But underneath it tourists can enjoy scuba diving or snorkeling. Its seabed is rich with diverse marine life. Fish of different kinds are randomly making their way around the island. The chase movements of these species are fascinating. Elephant ear and mushroom room are made obvious because of their gigantic size. Giant clams and few stingrays are also part of the company of life underwater. Nature preservation and human protection of the island are prevailing in the activities of marine life.  Since there is no long stretched white sand beach in this island of Koh Mapring (5), you have to make your boat multi-functional.

The natural sight of the island can still be enjoyed in a striking distance from the boat you are riding. What you need is drop off the anchor and let you body be in rhythm with the movement of the boat as it sways by small waves slapping into its hull. The sea breeze is cool and refreshing. You can also make fun dives and swim to your heart’s content.  Another fun adventure you can do is to paddle around the island. It is a natural way to tan your body under the sun and muscle flexing.
