An Adventurer’s Paradise – Koh Thian

Mu Koh Chang National Park contains nearly about 50 islands. Among them is a wonderful small island named as Koh Thian (1) Island. It is located adjacent to Koh Kara Island and one has to hire a boat to reach there.

The island may seem to be an outgrowth of a rock from a far view and not an island in a true sense but it’s worth seeing it from near. Koh Thian (1) Island consists of beautiful naturally grown trees and plantations which add to the scenic beauty of the environment. White sandy shore and an irregular coastline further enhance the artistic beauty of the place. Crystal clear waters around the island and plenty of rocks on the west of the island give it a picturesque view from distance. Shallow waters on the eastern side make it a very favorite place for snorkeling. Beautiful colorful coral reefs under the water on the west of the island gives the impression as if they drawn by a pencil. Nature’s beauty can be fully enjoyed when these coral reefs are in full bloom under the sparkling water.

The island may not be able to attract many tourists who always give priority to the comforts of life in the form of a beautiful hotel equipped with modern facilities but it can be a loveable place for adventurers who want sometime in private away from the busy city life. Koh Thian (1) Island is a paradise for tourists and travelers who love to have fun on their own. It can be a place for outside camping, the traveler has to equip himself with lots of food and other necessities required for camping. Natural waters attract them and they can have few dives which are not very far away.
